How to play Look Lab

Build an outfit that matches a clear styling brief, or explore your own ideas in the free studio.

Controls

Choose a wardrobe section, then pick an item and its color. Tops also offer four pattern choices. Change the model's appearance separately from the clothes.
Use the visible buttons on a phone or desktop. Tab moves between controls; Enter or Space activates a focused button.
Check your outfit against the current brief when you are ready. Save outfits to the local gallery, load them again, or download an SVG outfit card.

Rules and progress

Complete each styling brief to open the next, across 30 challenges. Early briefs have two requirements, middle briefs have three, and the last briefs have four; every stated requirement must match.
The wardrobe has four sections with six items each, eight clothing colors and four top patterns. Matching uses the written brief, with no subjective rating or public votes. Model appearance is never part of the check.
The free studio opens the whole wardrobe and keeps its outfit separate from your challenge look. It does not change completed briefs or unlocks.
Your current looks, completed briefs and up to eight gallery outfits stay on this device when browser storage is available. Downloads are created locally; nothing is uploaded.

Tips for your next try

Read each requirement before changing an outfit. If a check misses, adjust that item, color or pattern and try again; there is no timer.
Use the free studio for combinations outside a brief. Save a favorite before experimenting so you can return to it from the gallery.
